Whew! Time is Flying...

Yes, the days and weeks are just whooshing by here at the old/under construction homestead. Labor Day has come and gone, summer is winding down and everyone is back to work. M is growing by leaps and bounds (more on that later!) and the house continues to move forward (slowly - what else is new?!? - but surely).

First, M. The little sweet pea is now 7 1/2 weeks old! When did that happen? At her last doctor's appointment (Sept. 2), she measured 22.5 inches and weighed in at a whopping 11 lbs 11 oz. This means she gained nearly 3 lbs in 3 weeks. This also means she is in the 90th percentile for weight (she weighs more than 90% of other babies her age!). It also means - as our doctor pointed out - that she's in the 40th percentile for a THREE MONTH OLD. We've got a good eater here for sure. She continues to woo us with her smiles - she's started to dole them out, but still sparingly - and her constant "talking". Also, sleeping has become more of a habit for her at night, which makes everyone happier!

We recently had a few of her first 'pro' photos taken by the photographer we used for a wedding (also a friend) and they turned out beautifully. Is she gorgeous, or what?

In money pit news, the kitchen cabinets should be here next week - good news. The 60 inch range hood is a special order and won't be delivered until October 18 - bad news. The painting on the 1st floor is 90% completed - good news. There is still 10% of the 1st floor that needs sanding and painting (including the doors) - bad news. Photos coming soon!

All in all, good things...no complaints here.

Much love,
K&J
