A quick post to keep you all updated - more progress this week!
All of our 2nd floor rewiring is complete (except the finishing work, which must be done after the drywall goes up).
Insulation is going up in the Lounge and Guest Room - J and JF made great progress and learned the wonders of "insulation hangers" (Thanks, M!)
The mason was here today and was literally "chipping" away some of the old mortar from the exposed interior stone wall that we are having repointed in the Lounge. It's gorgeous...but, of course, it's also loud, dusty and messy...and, it's located right underneath K's desk. Perfect!
The mason will be wrapped up by Friday so the drywallers can come in on Monday to start "hanging the rock" as they like to say. (We're totally getting into all the lingo now, guys).
Then...more painting (you've all been warned).
K is off to Boston for a day and a half tomorrow, but more progress - and pics - on Friday and over the weekend.
