Dare to Dream...

We're REALLY in the home stretch now - week 34 starts tomorrow and Pipsqueak has decided to move around enough so that we KNOW that he/she is ready to join us shortly. K is still feeling well and aside from a stretch mark scare earlier this week (false alarm), there is still no reason to complain at all. We only hope that Pipsqueak is this well-behaved when he/she arrives (what are the odds on that one?!? Any takers on that bet?!?)

OK, so renovation progress also continues - albeit slowly - here at the house. Many (many!) thanks to the family for the continued support and elbow grease. It is SO appreciated. (We will tell Pipsqueak stories heralding your efforts and your assistance!).

This progress includes painted doors, continued demo, scraped wallpaper/prep on the 1st floor and ongoing sanding and priming all over. It also includes steps forward with the structural engineer (stamped plans are complete!), the electrician (rewiring the whole 1st floor next week), the plumber (mapping out the "Phase 1 rough in" for the kitchen tomorrow) and the carpenter (discussion regarding framing and joist support tomorrow).

Perhaps most visually appealing is the progress made on the kitchen layout/cabinet front. While these schematics are not 100% accurate - our windows are different sizes and some of the walls in the pics won't actually be there - they do give you a glimpse of the full kitchen glory we are crossing our fingers and hoping for!
